A Little Bit About Me

Dr. Jessica Coker is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Coker is a true Southerner as she was born and raised in Mississippi before moving to Georgia in 2014. Dr. Coker provides psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments, taking the time to learn the history, life experiences and current circumstances of the patient seeking treatment. Dr. Coker provides a warm environment fostering patience and understanding as she and the patient formalizes a tailored treatment plan for optimal outcomes.

Education

Dr. Coker earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University in 2016. She then pursued her Doctor of Nursing Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Augusta University in 2020.

Dr. Coker has worked in a variety of clinical settings including emergency management of acute psychiatric symptoms, inpatient and outpatient care. Dr. Coker has expertise in psychiatric medication management treating various psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, mooddisorders, psychotic disorders, and concentration and focus disorders.
