Meet the Founder

Dr. Mollie is a licensed therapist with a doctorate degree in the sociology of mental health. She is the eldest daughter to Haitian immigrants and a mom to three beautiful children.

Mollie found herself drawn to the mental health field in her teen years after learning about the power of therapy and it’s ability to help others overcome mental and emotional pain. In her journey to become a licensed therapist, she found herself in her own therapists’ office, processing a childhood trauma that she ultimately detailed in her book “Familiar Strangers: Chronicles of Indoctrination, Liberation and Self-Discovery.”

Having experienced first hand the life-changing impact of therapy, Mollie developed a passion for trauma work. Over the past decade, she has sharpened her skills in treating children, adolescents and adults who have suffered various traumas in their lives. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

While Mollie fully believes in the power of healing in the role of the therapist, she also strongly believes in a multifaceted and systemic approach to addressing the mental health problem that includes advocacy, social justice initiatives, training on cultural competence and decreasing stigma with mental health awareness. She has worked as a clinical supervisor, a director of clinical services and a director of clinical operations, working to ensure quality, ethical and culturally competent clinical care. Her most recent position was working as the Deputy Executive Director at The Summit Counseling Center where she worked to fulfill the mission of providing care with an integrated approach including the body, mind and spirit.

  • Having worked in Mental Health for over 40-years, I have worked with numerous, quality professionals. It is without reservation I can say, Mollie is the best of the best. She is the consummate clinician with leadership and interpersonal skills beyond her years.
